Tinubu's Economic Vision Garners Praise from Olamide Adigun Ahead of Birthday Celebration

As Nigeria anticipates the upcoming birthday celebration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR on March 29th, accolades have poured in for his notable strides in revitalizing the nation's economy.

A distinguished Certified Estate Surveyor and Valuer, and politician, ESV Olamide Adigun, commended the "Lion of Bourdillon," as President Tinubu is fondly called, for his visionary leadership and proactive approach to governance.

During an interview commemorating Asiwaju's birthday, Adigun extolled Tinubu's exemplary track record, citing his transformative tenure as a senator and Executive Governor of Lagos State.

Adigun emphasized the Jagaban of Borgu's instrumental role in elevating Lagos to unprecedented heights, positioning it as a beacon of progress both nationally and internationally.

“Mr. President has the guidance and the best approach to resolving issues. He was very vibrant as a senator and performed exceptionally well as the Executive Governor of our dear Lagos State. He made Lagos the envy of other states both at the local and international levels. Therefore, I believe he still has the vigor to replicate the same as the president,” he averred.

Reflecting on the challenges of governance in Nigeria, Adigun asserted, “Governance in Nigeria is not an easy task, judging by what has happened in the past. If you want to solve any issue, there's every need for you to look at what has happened in the past in order to know where to start tackling the issues from, and that is what Asiwaju is doing.

“President Tinubu possesses the requisite experience and astute approach to tackle complex issues plaguing our nation. His past achievements serve as a testament to his ability to effect positive change,” he stated.

Adigun lauded Tinubu's bold decisions on critical economic matters, including the removal of fuel subsidy and currency stabilization efforts.

He emphasized the importance of decisive action in addressing longstanding issues, applauding Tinubu's unwavering commitment to implementing necessary reforms.

“These are some of the reasons why young men like us believed in him. Even while we were being bashed during the campaign, we didn’t waver because we believe so much in what he has done in the past.

“Look at the issue of the dollar and subsidy removal. These are areas that really made a great impact. Some people were of the opinion that he shouldn’t have mentioned the removal of subsidy in his maiden speech, but when you know there is an issue, why are you so afraid of taking necessary action?

“I'm one of the people who supported the removal of the subsidy. There was no better time to do it than at that time. And I want to believe that he is a proactive president. Why am I saying this? He already foresees what the impact will be. That's why we are getting positive responses,” said Adigun.

Drawing attention to the composition of Tinubu's ministerial team, Adigun praised the president for prioritizing meritocracy over sentimentality. “Look at the list of his ministers; he has never picked based on emotion. For me, he's putting the right peg in the right hole. I'm not close to him, but I'm reading his moves.

"President Tinubu's meticulous selection of ministers reflects his dedication to placing the right individuals in key positions of authority," Adigun remarked.

Despite facing criticism, Adigun expressed unwavering confidence in Tinubu's ability to steer Nigeria towards prosperity. "His proactive approach to governance and strategic decision-making inspire optimism for a brighter future," he affirmed.

As a businessman, Adigun acknowledged the inherent risks associated with driving economic progress, highlighting Tinubu's courage in making critical decisions for the nation's benefit. "President Tinubu's leadership mirrors the boldness and resilience required in the business world," Adigun noted.

"I'm a businessman too, so I understand what it takes. As a businessman, you need to take some risks, you need to make some critical decisions, which is what the president is doing," Adigun emphasized.

Looking ahead, Adigun expressed optimism for Nigeria's economic outlook under Tinubu's stewardship. "I believe that by December, our nation will experience unprecedented surpluses, benefiting all Nigerians," declared Adigun, echoing his confidence in Tinubu's transformative vision.

"With steadfast determination and visionary policies, President Tinubu continues to pave the way for a prosperous and vibrant Nigeria," he added.
