2023: Jandor Vows Not To Relent In His Quest To Govern Lagos

The Lagos 4 Lagos convener Mr. Olajide Adediran popularly known as Jandor has  vowed not to relent in his quest to govern Lagos State in 2023.

He said this at a press conference organized by Lagos 4 Lagos movement  on Wednesday at the ikeja office of the group.

"You might have all read about how the police in less than 48hrs to our event to mark my birthday at the police ground here in ikeja withdrew the earlier approval after the  necessary fee  and all requirements meant for the space to be used. In the withdrawal letter the reason given is baseless.  But all i can say is that our movement is becoming a threat to the power that be in Lagos State."

"Our offence is simply that, we never consulted them on our journey to Alausa  come 2023. Even if we did, will they hand us the ticket? the answer is no. Our belief is, there is no point meeting same old leaders who would disappoint you later because someone somewhere would later tell the direction to go or who to support. Our own method is meeting new people entirely and creating mass movement with new structure across Lagos State.

When asked how certain is his chances of getting the All Progressives Congress ticket, he said " It is not about the APC's ticket, but about getting the people of Lagos behind us such that every political party would reckon with us come 2023. The flag of the party you are carrying is not the most important thing but the people in order to get Lagos working for Lagosians."

On the rumor that he is not an APC member, he said, "I am a bonafide APC member and here is my membership card. They will come up with all sort of things like the issue of venue withdrawal. Many are still coming. There are two incidents lately, my invitations to events were cancelled hours to it. All this are pointal to what is to come."

"The Lagos 4 Lagos movement is in every political ward in Lagos State and has members cut across all the tribes. The 2023 general elections in Lagos State would not be the usual 'Baba sope'." he affirmed.
