Exposing Senator Yayi, Others Lies - Ejigbadero

Following the recent meeting held by some party faithfuls in Alimosho where New Alimosho Movement an offshoot of BAT Movement was formally adopted by members, the supposed party leaders, led by Alhaji Abdullahi Enilolobo, out of fear of losing their powers, summoned some members from Alimosho to Radisson Blu Hotel where they fed their guests with a series of lies and propaganda. To put the record straight, New Alimosho Movement held its meeting in the heart of Alimosho in the open and members across the six LCDAs were in attendance. Attendance of the meeting was neither selective nor restricted to a particular group or gender. According to the convener, Alhaji Abiodun Ejigbadero, "our coming together was for the general good of all and not for a selected few. Amidst us, there were men and women, Yorubas and non-Yorubas, as the discussions we had were open talks that did not require secrecy, as our motives were devoid of selfish interests and treachery. If they truly have the guts, tell them to call for a general meeting comprising of the entire constituents to be held in Alimosho, in the open."

At their meeting hosted by Alhaji Abdullahi Enilolobo, Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola Yayi, Hon. Olufemi Adebanjo, Eyes-Open, Member, HoR, Hon. Sulaiman Jelili, Alimosho Local Government Chairman and others at Radisson Blu, they called the leaders of New Alimosho Movement by a series of unprintable names, like land grabbers, area boys and several other damning names, just to win the hearts of their guests and retain the loyalty of their followers. Good leadership does not require manipulation or verbal conviction. If a leader is good, his followers will defend him even in his absence. The moment a leader begins to run helter-skelter seeking sympathy, it is an obvious sign of his failure in leadership.

In one of their propaganda, Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola Yayi claimed he rescued Alhaji Abiodun Ejigbadero from being jailed. Responding to the above, Alhaji Ejigbadero said, "I am a businessman and I am into real estate. To start with, I have never had any form of criminal case in my entire life. Some years back, there was a civil matter, where I was alleged of using the Governor's name to hijack property and lands. I was invited to the Lagos State Task Force Office over the same matter. On arrival, I made a call to the Honourable Speaker, Rt. Hon. Mudashiru Ajayi Obasa, who also put a call across to the then Governor, Mr. Akinwumi Ambode and within minutes, the matter was resolved, as it was a civil matter. After about an hour, Sen. Solomon Adeola Olamilekan called me, perhaps, to know the state of the matter and I told him the matter had been resolved. I do not understand how the above scenario translates to being jailed and his intervention for my release. I am not surprised - the time has come for them again to start labelling others just to secure votes. They would not have had to lobby for votes, if they had represented the people well but their failure is making them run around to the same people they have abandoned for years. Sen. Yayi is one of the worst politicians in the Nigerian political arena. In 2014, during our Alimosho Day Celebration, he mounted the podium and promised to support the body with a sum of one million, five hundred thousand naira (N1,500,000.00). Yayi calls only when he needs you but when you need him, he never picks your calls. Go around and confirm from this constituents – Sen. Yayi promises and never fulfils his pledges to his constituents. That is the kind of person he is. He is an Olympic man who only comes around when he needs the people’s votes and as soon as he gets them, he vanishes into the thin air, and never picks calls from his constituents even at times of great needs. During the recent lockdown, he was never seen around and likewise, during the more recent EndSARS protest, he never remembered he had constituents in Lagos. Some of us spent our personal funds providing palliatives for people in the community."

Alhaji Abiodun Ejigbadero concluded by saying, "I have heard from various quarters that they had given me money on various occasions. I would advise them to stop peddling lies against me. I have their secrets at my fingertips and I say it without mincing words that they do not have any money to give me. They are so much engrossed in their greed that they will hardly let a penny go outside their caucus. I borrowed them money for their elections and spent my time and efforts. I supported them physically and financially with my life and followers, all in the interest of the party but I am surprised that, today, I am their enemy. During the recent election, we were all friends but today, Sen. Yayi and his cohorts are sending death threats to me over politics. I also want to advise them to desist from spreading propaganda against me."
