AREWA DISABLE ASSOCIATION ALIMOSHO VISITS SARKI OVERALL: DECLARE READINESS TO PARTNER SANWOOLU GOVERNMENT

Leadership of Arewa community living with disability in Alimosho local government Lagos state has declared the association's readiness to support the Lagos state government in its drive to increase inclusiveness, environmental sanity and human capital development through the T.H.E.M.E.S plus compass.

The declaration was made on Wednesday 4th of October, 2023 at the palace of the Sarki overall of Alimosho HRH Alhaji Ahmed Haruna Kuraja, when a delegation of the disable association visited Sarki overall, who is the leader, body of Serikis and chairman of the chieftaincy council of Arewa Alimosho local government to register and affirm their resolve.

The visiting delegation included Mallam Lawan, the sarkin guragu of Egbeda land and Alhaji Sule, the sarkin guragu of Ikotun land, who led amongst others.

Disclosing their resolve, the delegation said, they want and are ready to play a bigger role in the Babajide Sanwoolu led government, adding that, over thirty of them already own and operate commercial tricycles as they have long discovered their ability in disability.

Receiving and commending the disable association for attuning with the reality of current times, the royal father assured them of the palace's readiness to convey their message to the appropriate government quarters where the right and appropriate measures will be proffered to ensure a better deal for the association on one hand and the government on the other, all for the overall good of Lagosians.

 Speaking further, Sarki overall called on the Lagos state government to maximize the strategic role the body of Serikis can play in supporting and bringing about increased progress and development for Lagos state especially in line with T.H.E.M.E.S plus roadmap of the governor Babajide Sanwoolu led government.
