NSCDC AYOBO IPAJA DIVISION MEETS BODY OF SERIKIS ON COURTESY VISIT: PARTIES ASSURE TO WORK TOGETHER FOR PUBLIC GOOD

Leadership of the Ayobo-Ipaja Division of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) on Wednesday, January 24, 2024, paid a working visit to the palace of Sarki Overall and Chairman of the Chieftaincy Council of Arewa Community Alimosho Local Government HRH Alhaji Ahmed Haruna Kuraja, where it met and discussed with traditional chiefs on the need for a reinforced working relationship toward increased peace and general security wellbeing across the division.


The NSCDC team was led by the recently posted Divisional Officer (DO), CSC Maduakor Nnenna, who after introducing other senior officers on her team, expressed a need for an effective working partnership with strategic stakeholders especially the traditional institution toward delivering on the NSCDC mandate to safeguard national assets and to contribute to safety and security wellbeing of citizens within its jurisdiction.


CSC Maduakor, emphasized the importance of intelligence sharing, adding that the Ayobo-Ipaja NSCDC Division is readily available to always safeguard its mandate and ensure needed public peace.


Welcoming the visitors on behalf of the chieftaincy council, Ibrahim A Jagaba, the Secretary General, gave a brief tale of the council just as he introduced other Serikis in attendance, including Mallam Suleman Abdullahi , the Sarkin Hausawa of Ayobo land, Mallam Sa'idu Sule, the Sarkin Hausawa of Ikola land, Mallam Shehu Ibrahim, the Sarkin Hausawa of Mosan land, Mallam Yusuf Musa, the Sarkin Hausawa of Ipaja land; leaders across other trades including scrap dealers and commercial motorcycle operators were also invited for the meeting to ensure a wider spread of the message.


The general secretary conveyed the assurances of the chieftaincy council to continue to join hands with all relevant government agencies to promote and reinforce peace, security and overall safety of the citizenry; he added that the chieftaincy council of Arewa community is well known for its support and partnership with security agencies towards peace and security and the NSCDC is no exception.


The meeting was brought to a close by HRH Alhaji Ahmed Haruna Kuraja, the Sarki Overall, who reassured the visitors and prayed for their success on the job as he also prayed for the prosperity of the state of Lagos and our dear country Nigeria as a whole.
